Who we are

InStock First is made by Tenhatch (“Tenhatch”, “we”). Our contact details are at the end of this page.

What InStock First does

InStock First is a Shopify app that changes the order of products inside the collections you turn it on for: sold-out products move below the in-stock ones and move back when restocked. It does not hide, unpublish or edit products and does not change your theme.

Using InStock First

You may use InStock First on stores you own or manage. Please do not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it, work around its billing, or use it in a way that breaks the law or Shopify’s terms. You remain responsible for your store and how its collections are arranged.

Manual sorting

Shopify only lets apps reorder manually sorted collections. When you turn InStock First on for a collection sorted by a rule, the app tells you first and, once you confirm, switches it to manual sorting; turning the app off for that collection switches it back. After you uninstall, Shopify no longer lets the app restore anything, so turn collections off first if you want their previous rules back.

Subscription and payment

InStock First costs $7.99 every 30 days after a 7-day free trial. Shopify bills it on your Shopify invoice, and Shopify’s terms for app charges apply. Uninstalling the app cancels the subscription.

If the price changes, we tell installed shops before the new price applies to them.

Refunds

App charges are billed by Shopify, so refunds are made through Shopify. If something went wrong with a charge, email support@tenhatch.com with your shop’s myshopify.com domain. We look at every request.

When Shopify changes

InStock First depends on Shopify’s platform and its rules for apps, which Shopify can change at any time. When that happens the app may stop sorting until an update is ready. We work to keep it up to date, but we cannot promise it will always work.

No warranty

InStock First and this website are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Tenhatch is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for InStock First in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop using InStock First at any time by uninstalling it. If we stop offering InStock First, we tell installed shops first and end their subscriptions so no further charges are made.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes

If these terms change, we post the new version here with a new effective date.
